Small footprint, permaculture-inspired housing development

The Coggins Conservation Project would like to see a new style of residential communities becoming the norm.  This model integrates the principles of permaculture and new ruralism in a design that fosters connection among residents through connection to the land itself.  Since our model is designed for large tracts of land on the outskirts of cities, it’s important that these communities work well alongside active food production.  We know in rural settings, it’s important to honor the value of privacy for each resident while recognizing the importance of a small collective foot-print of the dwellings.  On the Coggins Farm™, we feel that a community of 20-30 homes would be most appropriate.
